The Paster Application

The Paster desktop application is designed to function entirely offline.

• Clipboard Data: All clipboard history, including text, images, and files, is stored locally on your device in a secure SQLite database. This data never leaves your computer.
• Usage Data: The application does not collect or transmit usage statistics, crash reports, or telemetry to us or any third parties.
• Update Checks: The application may periodically check for updates by querying our update server. This request contains your current version number and operating system, but no personally identifiable information.

The Paster Website

When you visit our website (pasterapp.com), we may collect non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request.

2. Payment Processing

We use Lemon Squeezy as our Merchant of Record for processing payments. When you purchase a license:

• Payment processing is handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy.
• We do not store or have access to your credit card details.
• We receive confirmation of your purchase, including your email address and license key, to provide support and validate your license.

3. Data Security

The security of your data is our priority.

• Local Storage: Your clipboard history is stored in a local database file with restricted file system permissions (typically 0700), accessible only by your user account.
• Exclusions: Paster includes features to automatically exclude sensitive applications (like password managers) from clipboard history to prevent accidental storage of secrets.
